On Monday, June 5, Hyper Energy Bar – which specializes in handcrafted energy drinks (caffeinated and caffeine-free) as well as speciality lattes, cold brew, classic drip coffee, fruit smoothies and lemonade – opens its newest location at 3797 86th Street in Urbandale. As part of the grand opening from noon to 7 p.m., all drinks sold are discounted at $3 and the proceeds will be donated directly to the Urbandale Schools and Alumni Foundation to support our mission.
Enjoy a refreshing beverage at a new local business and help make a difference to enhance the educational experience for all Urbandale students and teachers!
Organized by the Urbandale Historical Society, come join the Urbandale Alumni Association and enjoy the Ice Cream Social at the Olmsted-Urban Historical House from 2-4 p.m. on Sunday, June 25. The address is 4010 70th St. Experience the Alumni Room upstairs that has every yearbook from Urbandale High School, plus class photos before yearbooks were made.
The Urbandale Schools and Alumni Foundation is excited to announce that this year’s URBSAF Golf Tournament is slated for Monday, June 26, 2023, at Hyperion Field Club.
This event is an annual fundraiser that raises money to support student scholarships and classroom grants throughout the Urbandale Community School District, providing funds for projects and initiatives not supported within existing school budgets. Last year’s golf tournament raised over $24,000 thanks to generous donations by participants and community members and through sponsorships from businesses and professionals.

The Urbandale Schools and Alumni Foundation is excited to announce the new date and location for the Fourth Annual U-Fest, which was postponed Saturday, July 1, due to inclement weather.
Mark your calendars and join us for a “back to school” celebration Saturday, August 19, from 4:30 to 9:30 p.m. at the Urbandale Senior Recreation Center, 7305 NW Aurora Avenue in Urbandale. The event will be held inside the Community Room and outside in the parking lot.
U-Fest is a fun, festive, family-friendly event featuring live music performed by Faculty Lounge, food, drinks and prizes, with proceeds supporting student scholarships and classroom grants throughout the Urbandale Community School District.
Please join us Saturday, Sept. 23, 2023 at the Stoney Creek Hotel for the UHS Distinguished Alumnus Award and Celebration! Doors open at 5:30 p.m.
The UHS Distinguished Alumnus Award and Celebration committee is a sub-committee of the Urbandale Alumni Association and made up of seven volunteer Urbandale High School alumni. We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit part of the Urbandale Schools and Alumni Foundation. This committee was organized to plan, promote and execute a new event which would include a nomination and selection of an Urbandale alumni for their distinguished contributions to the community with award presentation and a fundraising event with proceeds going towards Urbandale High School scholarships.
