The Urbandale Schools and Alumni Foundation and the Urbandale Alumni Association are hosting 2025 U-Fest on Saturday, June 21. U-Fest is one of our largest fundraisers supporting student scholarships and classroom grants in the Urbandale Community School District. These grants provide funds for classroom projects and initiatives not supported within existing school budgets.
U-Fest is a fun, family-friendly event featuring food, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, and live music! This year, U-Fest will be held at the Walker Johnston Park shelter house with live music from Faculty Lounge.
This event is an annual fundraiser in support of student scholarships and classroom grants throughout the Urbandale Community School District, providing funds for projects and initiatives not supported within existing school budgets. Last year’s golf tournament raised nearly $19,000 thanks to generous donations by participants and community members, and through sponsorships from businesses and professionals.
The Distinguished Alumnus and Retired Teacher of the Year awards will be presented Sunday, June 29, 2025, at the Olmsted-Urban House. These awards will coincide with dedication of the bricks surrounding the historic flagpole at the home, and the Urbandale Historical Society's annual Ice Cream Social.
