In an effort to strengthen its mission and connect all facets of the organization, the Urbandale Education Foundation has announced its new name and brand identity – Urbandale Schools and Alumni Foundation – to better serve Urbandale Community School District educators, students and families, alumni and the general public.
The announcement was made official Friday, Aug. 5, at the Third Annual U-Fest at Walker Johnston Softball Diamonds.
“We are so excited to unveil our new name and brand identity as the Urbandale Schools and Alumni Foundation,” said Board President Meribeth Haynes. “As we have evolved over the years, it’s important that our brand is reflective of all that we are and provide. This fresh look showcases our values, emphasizes our commitment and better positions us through our year-round fundraising efforts to enhance the educational experience of Urbandale students and educators alike and connect alumni.”
The Urbandale Schools and Alumni Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization established through the merger and partnership of three volunteer-based groups and its various boards and committees:
- Urbandale Schools and Alumni Foundation
- Urbandale Alumni Association
- Urbandale Dollars for Scholars
As the legal board, the updated brand name and identity for the Urbandale Schools and Alumni Foundation embodies an organization that is reinventing itself, but also is indicative of the forward-looking focus it has in continuing its momentum into the future. In addition to the new name and brand identity, the Urbandale Schools and Alumni Foundation launched a new website that features a user-friendly experience across desktop, mobile and tablet devices, improved solutions for donations, easier access to event information and registrations and staying in the know with the latest news and announcements.
“As the Urbandale Schools and Alumni Foundation navigated through its rebranding process, it became vital that our digital presence also needed to reflect all that we are with a clean, easy-to-navigate website,” Haynes said. “We believe our new website accomplishes just that, connecting users with the information and resources needed to learn more about our organization, be part of our mission and support our cause.”
